John the Baptist is Born

Luke 1:5-25, 57-66

God gives Zechariah and Elizabeth a baby boy whom they name John.

There is a man named Zechariah and a woman named Elizabeth who love God. They have prayed to God for children but have not had any and are very old.
One day an angel comes to Zechariah. He is afraid but the angel tells him not to be afraid. God is going to give him and Elizabeth a baby boy and God wants them to name him John.
Zechariah tells the angel that he and Elizabeth are old, and asks, "How can we have a baby?"
The angel tells him that God says it will happen and that Zechariah's mouth will be closed (will not be able to speak) until the baby is born.
Elizabeth becomes pregnant and so bigger and bigger. Add more playdough to her tummy to show the baby growing.
Finally, it is time for the baby to be born.
She has a baby boy.
The crowd thinks that the baby will be names Zechariah after his Daddy but Zechariah writes that his name is to be John. God opens Zechariah's mouth so that he can speak again.
Everyone is amazed.
